M6 GC Competition Pkg vs Perfomance Exhaust

Does anyone know is the Performance Exhaust (z10) that you can get from the factory as an option adds any horsepower or is it purely for sound?

Also how it compares the the competition package?

There are 2 exhaust upgrades from the base M6. Neither adds any power.

1. Competition package adds a throaty tone. I'm a big fan of it. In fact so many people like it, 650 owners and non-ZCP M6 owners install them

2. You can buy a "M Performance Exhaust" (MPE) from BMW (also port installed in the original order/build). This exhaust is the akrapovic evolution exhaust, a full titanium system starting from the downpipes. Only difference between the Akra and BMW version is the tips. BMW version has M logo on each tip. The Akra/MPE has an amazing exotic sound. Personally, I think it sounds like an exotic car. Akrapovic claims a 10 HP gain, which I highly doubt.

Awesome...thanks for the intel. I suppose the stated HP gain from the Comp Pkg (560 to 600) must be related to a ECU tune?
