Rusting/Corroding Exhaust Tips

Has anyone experience their exhaust tips corroding?
Car is only a few months old and I'm sure it's covered under warranty, but it's just odd to see that.

My tips got pits in the lower edge like that by 20,000 miles where the cool black coating was gone, but not rust color. But exhaust must be very corrosive.

Yes I agree, exhaust must be very corrosive on that black coating especially since my car only has 6000 miles on it.

There is a specific cleaner for the exhaust. My AC-Schnitzer tips were totally corroded. I repainted them with black chrome.

Use chrome polisher compound, I used turtle one mine and removed 95%

These are actual pits. There is nothing to polish.
