I had the same problem. Tried trim restorers and cleaners but always the white would come back. Last weekend I treated all the rubbers on the car with gummi pflege and figured i would five it a shot on those stains too. It took them away and they have yet to return. You can see the outline of where the roof touches the plastic still but thats due to wear and tear. The plastic trim itself is black as the night again. I used this product: LINK

hugo did you just go over the part that was stained or did you do the entire black vinyl piece?
