Next time, try this - locate the loose end that is on the underside (ie. touching skin). Slide this end out so you can get a decent pincher grip, and then pull this bottom end in towards your body (obviously while holding your other wrist out, say perpendicular to your body).

It removes quite easy then.

This works great, but I prefer to not tell people and watch them struggle.
