You get in the same accident with the same amount of damage to both cars, the corvette will be way cheaper to fix than the BMW. I think you can get parts at walmart for corvettes...

I doesn't take much of a crash to total either car. A totaled 2013 650 is probably worth $25k and the 2016 C7 around $40k. Still doesn't make sense. I don't know where you get the idea that Corvette parts are cheap. They are not cheap and since almost any crash shatters the plastic body and damages the frame, suspension, etc. I don't buy that being the reason.
