M6 OEM exhaust installed on 650i GC
Just installed OEM Non CP M6 mufflers on my 640i F06 and live them. Found some black CP tips on ebay for cheap and purchase the alpine white rear bumper section and carbon fiber center diffuser from members on this forum for a great price.
The sound is a little louder and throatier than the stock M sport exhaust. The look is my favorite and think I will get the OEM tips Old New |

Nice! Glad to see everything worked out for you. I think 3.5" tips would look great. I personally went with 4" but I honestly think 3.5" is just about perfect to fill in the gap between the tips

No it was someone else on the forum. There are two other people who I know have some for sale. If you're interested in finding some PM me and I'll share their info.

650 to m6 conversion.
I am scoping out the same project for my 2014 650ix gran coupe. The part that has me confused is the piece that connects the new rear bumper cover part number 51128052677 to the underside of the car. I think it is part number 51127223162. Or is it part number 51128055373. ($1000.00) Is there a non carbon fiber piece?
I am ok with the mufflers. I see that M5 or M6 will do the trick. |

1) You are correct on part number 51128052677 ; ECS has an unpainted one: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...r/51128052677/ The part is very common and you could probably find one on ebay or just a google search that is already painted. mine was painted Alpine white already from another forum member that I purchased it from 2) You are correct again on the part number of 51128052677; ECS also has one for sale: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...r/51127223162/ However, if you're going to do it I would highly encourage you not to get the factory black plastic piece above as you wont see it at all. I would get a carbon piece or a something that you could actually notice Here are some examples: Expensive OEM piece: https://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-Brand-O...1TDQsC&vxp=mtr Non OEM but same design: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vicrez-BMW-...pYlsCW&vxp=mtr One of cheapest i found: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Carbon-Fibe....c100706.m4781 Other idea: Here is a 2pc non oem that would do both 1 and 2 above in carbon :https://www.ebay.com/itm/Carbon-Fibe...19.m1438.l2649 1 molded piece that would also do both 1 and 2 above: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Carbon-Fibe...19.m1438.l2649 other carbon ideas that may interest you to tie things together: Mirror caps: https://www.ebay.com/itm/09-14-BMW-F...19.m1438.l2649 Side skirts: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Carbon-Fibe...19.m1438.l2649 or: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Carbon-Fibe...19.m1438.l2649 or: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Carbon-Fibe...19.m1438.l2649 These are just items that I've been watching in eBay and I cannot attest to the quality of all of these non OEM pieces. My 2 pieces are OEM used from other forum members. I would also suggest doing a search on the member classifieds or keeping an eye for what pops up other there. Also try Bimmerfest forums as that's where I got the rear center piece. Good luck! |

I'll give a little feedback on the Eb motors stuff. I purchased their V Style rear diffuser carbon fiber and while the fitment was not perfect, I am sure that it was about the same as others including original. I am not very familiar with body work but I was able to get it installed by myself without too much of a hassle.

Also posted this over on bimmerfest in an old thread, but for completeness I thought I'd also post here on 6post...
Hi folks, sorry to be reviving a 3 year old (thread, not child), but I'm trying to make sure I understand exhaust fitment that others have already resolved. I just bought a 2016 F06 650i xDrive Gran Coupe and I'm trying to resolve if the F06 M6 Gran Coupe exhaust system fits the 650. I'm talking about the entire exhaust system, from the tail pipe tips up to where it bolts to the stock downpipes. I had an F10 550i M-Sport and the F10 M5 exhaust bolted right up to the stock 550i downpipes, and the rest of the system fit the 550 as well. There were a couple hangars that had to welded on, and the rear cross-brace was shorter on the M5 system so the 550i's cross-brace was cut and welded together in the middle to fit. Otherwise, everything else fit (I did install the m5 diffuser and the plastic piece behind the rear bumper cover so that the M5 diffuser could be mounted (these 2 parts are sold as a kit from getbmwparts). Anyway, I assume I'd have to do the same diffuser change on the 650 as I did on the 550, but what's not clear to me is if the M6 GC exhaust system overall will just "fit" the 650, or if there's crazy bends, etc. that have to be tweaked to make it fit under the car. Any input or experience with this would be super-helpful! I look forward to giving to this community as much as I can now that I'm an F06 GC owner.
