LED Interior
Hey guys -
I wanted to upgrade my interior lighting to LED's (2014 M6 GC) and the kits that have been previously mentioned in various posts are no longer available. Anyone bought a set recently? |

To make sure I understand - you replaced 13 LED's in all and there's an option of doing the 24 LED 6500K or the 8 LED 6000K bulbs depending on color preference. I saw that you did both - do you happen to have a picture comparing the two? If not that's totally fine. It seems like the dome lights (3 in the front and 2 in the rear) are these https://www.ebay.com/itm/Error-Free-...53.m1438.l2649 and they seem like they're a different shape. Does that mean that out of the 13 total, 5 are those dome light LEDs and so I would need to order 8 of the either 24 LED or 8 LED bulbs for the remaining bulbs? In other words: 1 - driver footwell (24 or 8 SMD bulbs) 1 - passenger footwell (24 or 8 SMD bulbs) 1 - glovebox (24 or 8 SMD bulbs) 4 - door (24 or 8 SMD bulbs) 3 - front roof dome lights (Dome LEDs from the above link) 2 - rear roof dome lights (Dome LEDs from the above link) 1 - trunk luggage (24 or 8 SMD bulbs) Thanks again for the help! |

I used the same LEDs (flat) throughout the car in order to keep the same light color. The length of the flat LED is longer than the original bulb but I did not have any clearance issues. Even thought the light is produced at the side of the LED bulb, its still bright when used as a dome light. The dome LEDs you linked can be used at all 13 locations since its basically the same size & directs light like the original bulbs. I think its better in the dome area since the light is also firing downwards.

Sorry guys,
What are the best options to switch to led but mantain the factory kelvin temperature? I feel much better to enter in my car and see warm light everywhere. White light looks so much colder (and IMHO audi style) Are the oem halogen bulb around 4300k? Amy issue when led lights are dimmed? |

Might be difficult to find LEDs in that color. Most I see are 5000K - 6500K. The rest are colored, blue, red, orange etc.
