I think another reason TWD is so much more popular is that zombies are very socially acceptable in our society, almost
to the point that they are sometimes funny to watch or a joke. TWD captures a larger age group- older kids, young adults, parents, etc. Breaking Bad? Well, it's all about drugs and family issues so it probably captures mainly adults. I doubt it is even accessible to many kids or young teens who live with their parents. |

That's a good point. I didn't get into Breaking Bad until it had been around for 3-4 seasons because I just thought it was another show about drugs and violence.

BB was like a meth addiction. I can't tell you how many multi episode benders the wife and I pulled with that show.
TWD started out amazing but lost its 'fear of the zombie' as the show went on, losing me as a viewer as well. |
