2007 m6 (6MT) - common issues?
Hi all. Looking at a used 2007 M6. I normally won't consider these cars due to the SMG tranny issues, but one popped up with a manual transmission. 66k miles. Am I correct that, with the SMG concern N/A on this car, it is really just the rod bearings that I need to watch out for as a common problem with this model?
thanks! |

I think there is a better post to cover your question in another forum. However for the S85 engine problems 1.) rod bearnigs, get them replaced with BE bearings. great updated design replacement. 2) throttle actuators, they are going to fail, replace them with the ones from FCPeuro for the lifetime warranty. 3) vanos solenoids, you can either replace them or get a rebuild kit for them.
