BMW F06 springs
Hi guys. I see a lot of people rides on H&R Springs but there are also other well known companies. I found:
1) H&R - front 30mm rear 15mm drop 2) Eibach - front 25mm rear 20mm drop 3) AP - front 30mm rear 20mm drop 4) ST - front 30mm rear 20 mm drop What is wrong with those companies? Why everyone buy H&R if there are also other springs that offers more aggresive rear drop? |

Good question !!!!!
I've bought Eibach springs for 4 times and first 3 swaps have had enjoyable end, those last ones are still in my garage and waiting to get under my F13. Yes, different 'body' but still. |

There's also Megan Racing springs, which claim 1.25" (or 30/31mm) drop on all corners. In my opinion, BMW's in general usually sit a bit lower in the rear already, so perhaps that's why H&R is so popular.
I am considering doing a 1" drop in the front, but leaving the rears alone. |

I wouldn't say anything is wrong with any of the companies. Different preferences.
Everyone doesn't want their car dropped that low (H&R) due to: - ground clearance - ride stiffness - H&R has a raked stance lower in front, small drop in rear - Cost |

I’ve always gone with Eibach over the years.

You need to be careful lowering a car on stock shocks too much by just changing the springs, because too much and the shock doesn't operate as it should, as its in a permanent state of compression, rather than being allowed return to it's normal "neutral" position; thus there is an increase risk of premature shock failure. Believe Alpina use (or certainly used to use) Eibach on stock shocks, hence that was good enough for me. |

Before h&r did separate springs for xDrive, in 2013 peoples with 4wd were running on 2wd version. Also for example Eibach sells the same springs(one part numer) for 650i and 650xi.
