Trunk lips

How many different style trunk lips are their for the M6?
Anyone has added anything different? Lets say a different trunk lip or a wing? That does not belong to a bmw.
Curious to know what everyone is rocking?
I have honestly have thought of adding an M4 PSM high kick trunk lip. To the gran coupe.
Call me crazy, if I am the only one.
Lets see that trunk!

ive just ordered a 47 inch universal,small descreet lip spoiler,,although i have a 640d coupe,,i hate the 6 series e bay/amazon ones as they are all the same and i do not like the shape of them,,will post pics when it arrives and pics when fitted..

This is mine. Can’t remember the “style” but it’s not “V” since it’s the same line all the way across. I think the “V” style is the one with the kinks.

yup,,the ones above i really do not like,,and that's why i have went with a smaller universal one,,see what its like when it arrives.

These look nice. I have a 2017 and it seems that they raised the trunk a bit. They essentially made "built in" one. as a result I cannot install one of these. Please correct me if I am wrong. Is there a spoiler compatible with the 17 model?

Says they're plastic material, so that's why so affordable, but once painted, I think it would look great...

Pics look good on their site, but of course they would, right? lol.

Just to answer the question you raise...the part database sites only list one trunk lid part nbr for the entire range of f06 models (BMW part # 41-62-7-284-083) from start to finish. There is no info in the production date range column that would indicate that the 2017-2019 model year f06 has a different trunk from any pre LCI or LCI model from 2013-2016 model year.

Looks like the E38 is 326 vs 445 for the F06. Although my 650i has a tune so not sure what that takes it to. I love my E38 but the F06 feels like a rocket ship in comparison!

The Carbon fiber v type lips found on eBay is money well spent . I’ve had mine for three years without issues

spoiler arrived,,epic fail,,when the 3 m tape is put on the spoiler ,that bits fine..but the spoiler will not adhere to boot,,the tape isnot contacting enough of the paintwork,,the shape of the spoiler is weird fitetd against the curved lip on boot,,will see if i can secure it another way...bollox

Is the 3m tape a genuine one as this is very important? I've fitted my spoiler and had no issue it came out perfect!

I had a similar issue with my spoiler. Had u use tigerseal on the edges and a section in the middle to keep it down. Mine was a 'carbon fibre 'import from China and it just wouldn't sit down. Seller advised professional installation which I believe includes heating the spoiler slightly to allow it be re shaped some what.

cheap shite,,but ive never had a prob in the past with it,,just hair drier the boot and spoiler and tape, and gets very sticky,,no my prob is the actual shape of the spoiler,,im gonna trim the lip it has and it should be fine,,see what happens

Well, pulled the trigger and got the Original Euro rear trunk lip for the F06 M6.
Wasn't expecting much for $60, but honestly, piece is great quality and fitment seems spot on.

Just need to paint it and there you have it.
Will post again when it's all said and done.

i have been told im getting a refund for the spoiler ha ha ..blagged it,,saying its not universal as it does not fit my car,,which is universal right ?,,anywaythey said send it back to california ha ha,,i said ok if you refund postage,,they said yes,,then i told them it was gonna be £35 to return and spoiler was only £25,,so a refund is what they said,,in the meantime ive now ordered a v style one painted space grey metallic to match car,,£90 delivered from taiwan,,will post when it arrives etc..
