Transmission issues
Hi everyone,
Over the last few months I have noticed that the transmission does not shift as 'tightly' or as smoothly as it once did. There is a very slight lag where none used to be and sometimes it shifts with a slight harshness that was not there when I first bought the car. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks |

When I first got mine (at 2.5yrs old/12k miles), it was perfect... but a few weeks later, I noticed "something" with the shifting. It was hard to put into words, but just didn't feel right, an inconsistency - especially pulling away from a stop as well as the 1-2 shifts.
The selling dealer didn't really document it nor explain it well to me, but said they'd ran it up hot and then flushed & replaced the tranny fluid. It's been another 46k miles since and no tranny issues whatsoever. |

Yes. Your transmission's filter is built into the pan itself. How many miles do you have on the car? I will be doing a drain/fill x 3 next week on my 6 with 50k miles.

I'm doing mine this weekend or the next also. Mine has 60k, but doing it as preventative maintenance. No weird issues that I've noticed.

I heard a pop last night and today my mechanic says something popped in the transmission. The car jerks like crazy now when driving / switching gears. Pls dm for insight. |
