Interesting M6 GC for sale..
Hi,
I ran across this M6 while searching: https://www.truecar.com/used-cars-fo...7/2015-bmw-m6/ Dealer told me the car is a lemon buyback, brand new engine installed by BMW of Riverside due to knocking with all receipts. One year warranty on the engine provided by BMW NA. I believe the new engine has <100 miles so i'd be breaking in. I would just like to ask what people think about the deal if hovered around $42K without TTL? Is it worth it? Is rod bearings a problem similar to the S65 in the E9X generation M3's? |

no rod bearings is not a common problem in the S63. The S63 has been around sine 2010.
That said, every motor built by any manufacturer is bound to have a percentage of the population exhibit early bearing wear and failure. It could be due to manufacturing defect, or something as simple as not using the correct oil or allowing the oil to warm up before revving the motor.
