Hey folks,

Never noticed until I took a closer and longer look at the side profile of my car , but is the exhaust tips tilting downwards? If so... is that normal or should I go get it adjusted if adjusting it is even possible

2018 gran coupe - ultimate package (Canada)

Thanks in advance!

I'd definitely bring that back to BMW for adjustment. Did they install this for you? If this was purchased and installed by third party, it might've been an M5 M Performance Akra which had its brackets re-adjusted to fit an M6 and hence its downward slope.

It came with it ordered and delivered as the overall package from the factory , , but I'll go back to the dealer and double check , it's got the staggered tips which leads me to believe it's not from the M5 Akra but you never know!

Ah I see, in that case you're in good hands. They should take care of it for you. It looks as if both lower rear brackets aren't affixed allowing the exhaust to hang on its upper bracket and cross brace only.

The M performance exhaust has staggered tips. That part is correct.

It seems like a little bit of a overkill to have a dealer do it for you. Ultimately you probably need to stand there and direct them how you like the appearance. Otherwise it's just the tech adjusting it to his preference. It's 100% aesthetic and personal preference thing.

The tips adjustment is a screw clamp. Once you loosen it, it allows you to push the tips in and adjust the rake to your liking. Probably takes no more than 10 minutes to do it yourself. Over time, the screw clamp becomes loose, so you may need to tighten it.

This is what I settled on. I pushed mine in quite a bit, reduced the staggered difference, and made it parallel to the ground:
