i did mine off the car, just found it easier this way. As far as wrap quality mine was just cheap off ebay, for what i was doing cant see an expensive one doing a better job really.

good luck and if you dont have one invest in a heat gun, much better than a hair dryer

Was it tricky getting the strip off?
My mate has one so im planning on using it! Haha

it wasnt to bad, i bought some cheap trim removers

there is a tool in there just the right size, start in the middle and work towards the back (bigger clip) there will be resistance as it is also held by strong adhesive tape (just take your time, it will start to move)once the middle part is free from the adhesive work back, some bending required to get the piece away from where the clip fits, once that clip is out front just slots out with some jiggling.

TBH its not the end of the world if the clip snaps, just use adhesive

I did this a few weeks back. I just went to a local auto vinyl wrap shop and told them I wanted enough material to do my side vents and door handles. They sold me about 4x what I needed in super high quality gloss black 3M vinyl for $5 cash. Might be worth a try in your area!
