Question about Electrical Connectors in Engine Compartment

While inspecting the engine compartment of my 2013 650ix, I noticed that some of the electrical connectors seem to be "unusual". See photo where you can see the actual wires exposed instead of inside the protecting rubber tubes. The question here is, is this normal? If not, what do you recommend I do?

There is no need to worry about. The last 1/2” is open to give the cable room/space if you disconnect the connections and not to squeeze the cable.
