The inlets of the tips need to be no smaller than 69mm, people usually get 70mm since that seems to be the norm size. The outlet is completely up to you. Some want huge some want a little bigger.

I recommend doing 70mm inlet and 92mm outlet which is the norm I have seen and fills out the rear well.

Mine measured 68MM OD horizontally. 67MM OD vertically, its not perfectly round.
I would recommend either 69MM or 70MM ID on aftermarket tips.

4th picture down you can see the small gap between muffler tip & aftermarket tip

The problem is not the clearance from the diffuser. Its the gap between the 2 tips. Based on my measurement, I don't see how you can have 105MM side by side.

You can always measure it yourself to be sure. I have both of these & both measure the same.

i measured 249mm or 9.8 inches

105 times 2 is 210. so theres 39mm of play room for the tips to fit, should fit i think..

If there is going to be a problem it will be where the gap between the tips are located. If the green lines are 105MM each then it will hit where the red arrow is pointing.

i see,

this is a 4 inch tip right here, so its 101.6 mm

so mine would be only 3.4 mm bigger, which comes out to 0.13 inches bigger. i think i SHOULD be fine...

and i read this guy with an m5 has 105mm tips

https://f10.m5post.com/forums/showpo...64&postcount=5

so idk. lets hope it works i ordered it yesterday

Ebay but the seller is still out of stock. Bimmian.com had them for awhile until they closed down.

the way the clamps were set up did not allow it to get tightened far enough in due to the diameter difference of the muffler pipes.

so it was sticking out like crazy once bolted on. the entire tip was sticking out from the bumper. looked insanely stupid. so i had to cut the muffler pipes and weld it on to make it sit inside the bumper

Oh k .. because I was looking at tips for my 640 with m6 mufflers but the ones I tried on fit were too long. Reason being that the tips have like a inner piping that restricts the tip from going in further ..plus the tips were like 6 in long .. I'm going to get the 3.5 in long ones and hope that will work without welding them ... How long are those ? If I go the welding route I rather get the 4 in tips and get those welded on as I believe u have to get 2 of the exhaust pipes removed and get new s pipe so the tips won't hit one another
