Bimmercoding
Success! Now that I have the veepeak adaptator all is great! Finally been able to rid myself of that awful stop start function that used to drive me mad! And a few other little improvements.
What I cannot seem to find in the bimmercode menus is turning off seatbelt chimes and that ‘confirm’ function for the I drive and sat nav.... can any of you more bimmercode code savvy 6ers drivers be so kind as to advise me where to look in the coding headings please. Thanks all |

No bongs, chimes or warnings anymore! The nanny stuff all gone. The very thing I bought this for and the most annoying thing the start stop function now defaults to OFF ! Hallelujah! Played around with some other stuff pretty basic tried some liked it other stuff I didn’t so reverted.the tyre pressure warnings I found too sensitive so disabled that again.... All in all perhaps The best 40 bucks I’ve spent for the Shark |

New to the forum, and just recently purchased a 2016 650i grand coupe, can you let me know what is all needed to get this custom programming done? It is plug and play or do you need to have a professional install it?

Don’t make the same mistake I did re adapters and coding. It’s relatively simple, down load the bimmercode app , I have an iPhone so it’s available through your Apps. Have a look at the list of adapters that bimmercode will ‘talk’ to your car through. Then order the adapter that suits you and bingo easy! The adapter should fit into the OB2 pin port in the car , usually under the drivers side ... I’m in Sydney so we driver on the right ... I got the Veepeak Bluetooth one , was $40 through Amazon. I’ve absolutely no coding expertise and frankly was a little worried at first but bimmercode makes it so easy to enable and disable things in the car it’s incredible. I haven’t gone ‘expert’ and wouldn’t as heavens knows what my dumbarse would do.... Below Is the list of adapters bimmercode likes Good luck and have fun ! |

BTW, there is a "sister" named Bimmerlink that you can purchase later that allows you to get more diagnostic info from your car...as well as register a new battery when that day comes.
