Track

I am trying to register to bring my M6 convertible to the track in Millville ( NJ motorsports park). Does anyone if tracks do not let convertibles in?

I believe that the M6 vert has the BMW roll-over protection system, which basically deploys supports to prevent your head from being squished if you roll the car. This should meet the requirements of most tracks and track day inspections.

Confirmed:

"The soft-top model also benefits from roll-over bars made from high-strength aluminium. Positioned behind the rear head restraints, these protective bars extend automatically in fractions of a second should there be a danger of the car rolling over."

The roll over protection I found by digging deep on BMW's site. They talk about it, but it was hard to find them saying it for the M6, but it was in a PDF.

That tracks generally let you on if you have something like that for track days is something I know from doing lots of track days with folks in Audi TTs and similar stuff.

You can't RACE with it, but you should be able to do a track day.

Best to confirm with the track day organizing group, but you can tell them that your car has active roll over protection, and that should be fine.
