Guess we should've figured, with an ex-wrestler as the star.

Although They Live, with Rowdy Roddy Piper (an ex-wrestler) was good, at least to me. It is a John Carpenter movie.

Plot was shit hands down...action was alright though, just another movie to kill time without really paying attention lol

I actually don’t think Batista is that bad. Maybe not suitable for a lead, but can hold his own in a supporting role.

I vaguely remember They Live. I’ll try to find it and watch it.

I went into the film with very low expectations thinking it was going to be a fun movie where I wasn’t going to have to think. Even that bar was set too high. The zombie screechings were annoying as hell and their body movements were cringeworthy. None of the characters were likeable.

One of my favorite zombie movies. And to think they spent something like $60M to reshoot the third act because it supposedly sucked. Glad they did, though, because it turned out really good.

As of now, I think plans for the second one have been cancelled. Crossing fingers it’ll be green lit in the future.

On second thought about ex-wrestlers as movie stars, look at Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson. He's an ex-wrestler who's been in a bunch of good movies and has been a successful star for a while now. He's an exception, though.

I enjoyed Army of the Dead!
People take movies like this waaaaaaay to foking seriously. It's meant to be "mindless, carnage and fun". Not a "deep, thought provoking drama"? SMFH.
If you enjoy the genre... You'll enjoy it.

Haven't seen it myself. Guess I should do that before I join in on the criticism of the actors in it.

I knew what I was getting into. I honestly didn’t expect too much, but it was annoying and incoherent. I loved his Dawn of the Dead tho.

It's like the plot is put together by different people lol a lot of the scenes don't make sense
Felt like they wanted a little bit of everything which ended up confusing and chaotic. And yes indeed, characters are flat as hell when you try to squeeze every possible scenario in there

Could be a result of trying too hard to top Dawn of the Dead. In my opinion, most of Snyder’s films look great in previews, but are a let down after watching them.

I thought it was alright for what it was. I think it couldn't decide if it wanted to be Zombieland or Walking Dead though.

Watched it last night and thought it was fine. It's a zombie movie it isn't supposed to win awards lol.

Speaking of Zombieland, thought it was hilarious. Love the bits with Bill Murray. The whole movie was good to me.

FMD does anyone in this movie have their original lips, what a fucking facial train wreck.

And re. zombie movies or sci fi etc, they still need to be COHERENT, so many are just a plot mess, it needs to make sense once you suspend reality not be a scattered mess.
