My LJR is extremely rare in midnight blue pearl coat on dark khaki hardtop/soft top on tan cloth. I've rebuilt just about everything and it's so great to drive.

I can spam my own thread, right?!
So for my 2nd time around to the E9x M3 ownership, I'll look for:

E92
CF Roof
6MT
speed cloth
no navigation
no EDC

I'll take a E90 too.

This was my old car. I should have never sold it.

Autotrader.

Ironically I'm also considering a 991.1 S. I do have a 1 year old daughter that I sometime pick up on my early work days so I might shy away from one. I've been considering renting one on turo for a couple days to see how livable it is and I could always grab the Jeep to pick her up. I've seen people remove the rear seat back to gain more room as well.

I'm also torn between an E90/2. I used to think the E90 was more attractive but in the right combo, an E92 but looks the part. Funny thing is everyone asks about the power and going backwards in performance. Coworkers and friends, they all ask my that daily. I tell them the same story of when I almost sold my E90 for a 997.2 S. I went and tear drove one, never really drove it hard but what a car. Then I hopped in my E90, took the on ramp which was a circle, and it immediately put a smile on my face. The E9x M3 is so confidence inspiring and predictable. It took time to get comfortable but once you did, the smiles were everyday. This is mainly why I'm saying away from the F80. Whole they are beautiful, I never hear they are confidence inspiring, they sound like crap and have gobs of torque that comes on rather quickly which could get you in trouble. I'd also like to rent one of these just for comparison. If I could take over a lease for less than 12 months, that also might be a good idea

There was one build that I'm aware of that has the exact options that I want and I know who owns it. I'm just waiting for him to sell it. I already have all the cars I need and want (except for this one M6) and driven everything I wanted to drive. So now it's just really adding it for art sake. I think the 6 is one of the best looking mass-produced cars made in the last many years. The future direction of car design doesn't look promising.

How'd you find out who owns the car?

Bc when I was shopping for the M6, I was aware of a few cars of certain combos, but I couldn't find the state the owner was located in.

I am currently considering a 991.1 GTS, 991.1 50th, 991.1 Turbo and 991.1 GT3.

Surprisingly, all in the pricing range of $85-$100

I don't necessarily need a back seat as I have an X5 to haul around the kids, though it would be convenient. I read there is a way to deactivate the airbags to allow a child seat on the passenger side seat.

Owner had posted it for sale very briefly and then changed his mind. He said he would let me know when he decides to sell it. Who knows if he ever will.

Nice! 3.8L. From time to time I see a powerkit 991.1, those are still in the $90s. Sports design kit are rare these days. I see more clubsport/sport design kits on 997s than 991s. I'll keep looking out for a 50th or GTS tho.

Yea I got this one, slicktop too, $75k CPO. Actually wAs a good deal. Glad to be in a car that's enjoyable again. Still learning to drive it. Vastly different from anything else I've driven.

GTS' and powerkits were out of my range. The extra power would be nice but I could always make some adjustments/tunes on this if need be.

It responds in a similar fashion, with a shit ton more power and luxury. I am meticulous about my cars, you can pull up my E90 build thread to see the level of detail I go to, to ensure the utmost care. I never created a build thread for the M6 simply because it is so clean and I've kept mods modest to maintain drivability. And, lets be honest, these cars are phenomenal out of the box. I'm the second owner, carfax shows me as 3 but the original owner leased then bought it out. Its been in Fort Lauderdale area its entire life, meticulously maintained at BMW until I purchased it, which I use Eurowerks and Meister Motoring to do all my maintenance and modifications. Upon purchase, I did a fresh oil change and a thorough look over. The shop didn't see one thing it needed, so I drove it until the itch for more power arouse. I did eBay downpipes and a BM3 tune. Also at the time of the tune, I did 2 step colder plugs gapped tighter with new BMW coil packs, purchased from FCP Euro for their lifetime warranty. Car is Ceramic Coated. The M6 needs nothing! Get in and drive!
