You can find the 11 digit BMW part number by using one of the several online part database sites like:
When you do, you’ll find that the license plate is illuminated with an LED which is #1 in the diagram. Once you get the 11 digit BMW part number....you can do a google/internet search by simply typing BMW xx xx x xxx xxx (where x=the actual part Nbr’s) into the search box: Just click one of the links above...type in the last 7 digits of your VIN (or select model/model year/etc)...then go to the diagrams for he lights. For instructions on how to replace/install, check your owners manual first to see if it gives a brief description. If it doesn’t, then try the TIS website...do the same at the TIS website and type in the last 7 digits of your VIN (or select appropriately) then type something like “replace license plate light bulbs” into the search box: www.newtis.info
