Sent my M6GC to finishing school @RKAutowerks

So my car was being a bit of a misbehaver and the engine failed not long ago. I have been dealing with a lot of hand wringing on what to do and who to do it with etc.

After a lot of web based recon and making friends with others that were having work done I was finally able to have this happen two days ago. Appreciate the folks at RK Autowerks on helping out of a failed uship transport problem at the last minute.

The car was next to impossible to get loaded on the truck due to the dead weight, the slight incline of the road and the sag of the lift gate but thanks to my son and a some tremendously kind neighbors that showed up out of no where we got it in and on the road.

Things are finally starting to take a turn for the better. When it gets back I am taking neighbors and now new friends and my son out for a joy ride and lunch and later that night I am taking my wife back out for that dinner that I was taking her out on the night the car died.

Still a little bit of faith in humanity left!

I always chuckle when I see the inside of these transport trucks which look like crap that house $100k+ cars. Same thing when I got mine delivered, looked inside and it was super junky and actually leaking a bit of water, but inside there was a Porsche gt2, Ferrari 488 and a 60s vette convertible.

TY. My heart is pounding out of my chest with excitement right now. My son and I are taking a road trip this weekend to tow it back ourselves. I could have had it transported for about the same but I need some windshield time with my boy.

The thought has crossed my mind but the folks at RkAutowerks is going to put about 500 on it before turning it over just to me to make sure it is absolutely gold seal of approval good to go. Plus I need tires for it which I plan on getting once I get it back home.

I'll probably find a school zone with a crap ton of speed tables and potholes in it to help me resist the urge of getting carried away during the remainder of the break in period

Honestly I think it need a detail a lot more than the engine as it sat for a while. Stock rebuild, 24/24 warranty and a detail all for a 1/6th of what the dealer was going to charge me. Thank you Raza, Mike and Team @RKautowerks!
