F13 VRSF Downpipe fitment issues
Purchased new. I knew VRSF fitment was hit or miss on certain parts. I figured by now they would have fixed this. Guess not. Driver side bracket was way off. Had to bend it a lot to make it fit. Passenger Primary O2 sensor is close, but not close enough to put the cup in. The driver side isn't at all lined up. Had to trim the heat shield and bracket. (not shown)
I would like to pick up their intercooler upgrade, but after seeing how these fit, not sure I want to. This is just a piece of pipe with bungs welded to it. Simple. I built the entire intake and exhaust system for my E39 M5 twin turbo LS swap, including manifolds. Exhaust systems are not rocket science...... In the end, I installed them with some modifications, and they work. I know some people would not be satisfied with the fitment, so I thought I would share.....

That's pretty bad and as you say it shouldn't be that hard to get it right. I bought a cheap £285 set of downpipes from MTC Motorsport and they fitted perfectly with no modifications or modding required.
I say they were cheap but £285 for 2x foot long stainless steel pipes is not cheap which is why I refused to pay the silly prices some of the big names are trying to charge. |
Appreciate
