F10 M5 Competition Springs / F06 M6

Are these interchangeable?

It looks like most aftermarket spring kits have both the F06 M6 and the F10 M5 listed for their application, but I notice when looking up the part #'s for the OEM ZCP springs, they are different between the two models.

Thanks in advance!

I suspect they may be a slight difference, the M6 even in Comp Pack guise did not have reduced right height, where as the M5 did

It's interesting you mention that, because just now I went to go check to see if perhaps the stock, non comp springs shared a part number. What I found is that the M5 actually does not have a separate spring part number designated for the comp pack where as the M6 GC does.

M5 Front Springs (#21 on diagram)
M5 Rear Springs (#9 on diagram)

M6 Front Springs (#19 on diagram)
M6 Rear Springs (#4 on diagram)

I could be looking in the wrong area perhaps as I know the M5 comp does sit 10mm lower than non-comp

EDIT: I was looking in the same category area on both cars, and for some reason the M5 comp springs weren't showing in the respective subcategory that the M6 comp springs were, they were hidden in a different subcategory and they do indeed have separate part numbers

I thought the comp package had a 10mm drop ( https://f10.m5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=873975 )

Well, we're going to find out on this since I decided to be the guinea pig. Just picked up a set of comp springs from the M5 classifieds, we'll see what happens!

I'll be sure to compile before/after shots if it works as well as FTG measurements to post afterwards

The M5 does yes, but not the M6

Stock FTG measurements were 70.4cm (~27 & 3/4in) front and rear.

Springs & spacers will be going on Monday/Tuesday so I will update with the after measurements (if these springs do in fact work) to see if the claimed 1cm drop is achieved.

From eyeballing where 1cm drop would put the car, this would be perfect for what I'm looking for. Fingers crossed it works
