As far reliability I just want to tune and not much else not looking to add downpipes would the engine and tranny hold up like my prev M4 or I need to change some things out before tuning ?

You'll love the car for sure. If you are getting one to do some tuning I'd have an indy shop do the rod bearings, plugs and injectors. Work with your indy on the oil to use but my engine builder recommended 15-50 but I am in a perpetually hot climate.

Not to remove traffic from the M6 forum but you'll find a ton of engine and transmission info under the F10 M5 forum as they both use the same powertrain but the M5 production numbers dwarf those of the M6.

I've had my n6 for 4 years. It's never had any issues. 2+ years with bm3 stage 2, catless downpipes, full echaudt, intakes and charge pipe. I LOVE the car I don't think there is much tbat can beat it.. I had a 2018 M4 too and hated that car
