Transmission Gone 26K miles

Bought car in Dec.
First clutch packs went.
Now shift rod.

Have extended warranty, anyone have any experience with this? Any tips?
Dealer who sold me the car said they'd help push with the warranty company.

Is the vehicle tuned ? Very unlikely for the clutchpack to “just” fail. If you are tuned they will likely deny your claim because of modification…. these transmission are pretty strong and reliable unless you go north of 650+ ft/lb of torque…

Garage List
Agree with @MHaus. Folks like Seems Legit Garage and PureDriveTrain all working toward using DCT's in alternative projects. My M6 is close to 100k miles and the last 12k+ miles being on a rebuilt engine I have not had any issues with my transmission. as @MHaus indicated these transmissions and stock clutches only fall apart in high HP scenarios above 650 or so.

Car is not tuned. I've put less than 1000 miles on it.

Just got ssp clutches put on. I also got plugs and coils done while I was there, and think that may be the culprit.

I have bm3, catless downpipes.

Only showing 640-650 on the performance screen....was showing high 700’s prior to this trip. Which would put it around the 640 they claim at the wheel. Also a slight hesitation.
Or the tune got flashed back?

Anyone seen anything like this? I’m taking it back to the shop, but was curious what would cause this.”

I am not trying to put you on a blast or anything here but if you want our help or suggestions at least be honest. I literally scrolled down the page and found a few threads on transmission temp warning and your tuning questions. This is the risk we take when we push these cars to the high hp/torque ranges. Your transmission issues are 100% related to the upgraded power via an engine tune.
Running in to these issues is obviously related to the stage of the tune and ur driving habit with the car.. Good luck with the issues hope you are back on the road soon!

Oops, misspoke above. I'm never gonna hear back from the shop anyway, so it doesn't matter.
