HAHA why don't you ask on a normal car enthusiasts forum that is not related to BMWs or GTRs. That way you can get a more unbiased demographic.

Have you driven both of them? In all seriousness, I was contemplating between a M6 F1X pre lci, M5 F10 lci, R35 GTR, BMW M4 competition, C205 C63S and Giulia QV. Here in Australia, 2012 GTRs are similar priced to 2013-2014 M6s so could only look at those similar year models. I test drove the GTR and the ONLY two things going for it was brute acceleration on a dig and its insane launch control. Every other aspect of the GTR was trumped by the M6.

Most owners on here have driven both or owned both from what I’ve seen so far 👍🏻 What about cornering ? Was it night and day to say m6? Id like to track one once or twice a year .

I agree , I had a 2015 E63s , stock for stock , the E63 sounds a little better, but when you put after market exhaust the M6 sounds more exotic, that car was a rattle box and the transmission really really sucked it was so sloppy and is why I got rid of it ,and to do downpipes you have to remove the engine ,good down pipes alone cost 5K without labor ,the M6 is just a much more superior built car

Wait. What???

You're saying that the M6 handles better than the GTR? Just curious - I've never driven one, but that's unexpected, to say the least.

Oh no not what I meant , from my research looks like the gt-r has the better handling by far .

it comes down to what you want the car to do. The GTR will be a better more focused track car with its lighter weight, shorter wheelbase and AWD.

The M6 is a fast GT car that is track capable, but far from a track car. It comes down to your usage and what you want in a car.

I can tell you one thing, the M6 attracts a lot of attention and have a commanding presence on the street.

I think that while different people have different ideas of what a comfortable daily driver is, I think it is fair to say that more people will be able to live with an M6 as their only car than what would live with a GT-R everyday.

Well said - and if it’s your only car, get the GC...
