Transportation mode
Hi,
I'm aware that the transportation mode raises the car, but does it do anything else? Like putting it into neutral, etc. Thanks |

The suspension is raised in “transportation mode” only if you have a self leveling suspension. There’s no components to raise a non self leveling suspension. Other than that, the transportation mode basically is an electronic shut down of various system to prevent the battery from being drained (ie. AC system/radio/power windows/etc).

Thank you for the reply.
I'm only asking because ISTA mentions that the transportation mode raises the vehicle to avoid damage when towed. Yet it does nothing to protect the transmission from an not caring or ignorant tow truck driver (even flatbed) when the reason for the breakdown is engine trouble. No running engine no shifting into neutral. |
