I love this wheel. I have the e-version.

Is the wheel thicker than the original leather wheel?

likely not. The flat bottom is a newer design called "version 3", they have just rolled it out to the new generation M2, the first of the newer generation M cars, though this wheel will be backward compatible with the first M2 model. Keep checking back at the website, eventually, they may roll it out to the M5/6. See if the new G90 M5 version that's coming out will be backward compatible to our F cars.

But don't count on it though. Generally a wheel for a 2 series will not fit a 3 series or 5/6 series. Generally, you cannot fit a version 2 onto a car that takes version 1. And generally, M car versions will not fit standard cars. But they do have models that can be fitted across multiple generations and types of cars, like our M6 wheels will interestingly fit current gen 2, 3 and 4 series cars.

Looks fantastic. Full Ancantara right? I wish I could find a wheel option for my future M6 that had the same styling as the one in my performance pack AMG. Half leather/half Alcantara. It's beyond perfect! Just an amazing blend of both
