Does the Launch Control Active flag stay on throughout the duration of Launch Control?

When I used it, looking at the instrument panel was not an option. I was just holding on and trying to survive.

Well it does stay on with ZF8 m240i launch control

Tried today: If you follow the instruction it does work. However, the gear would automatically shift up only if you continue to press down the accelerator. When I did, the power of the car overwhelm the rear tyre despite being MPS4 305/30/20 and warm above 20 degree Celsius. The car initially was lurching sideways.
