Hey, guys. I just wanted to revisit this thread and report back in on my findings.

I took my F13 out yesterday and ran her on the local interstate ranging up to... well, let's just say beyond 90 where the 'wobble' or vibration appears to confirm its still there. I then came off the highway and took a couple local county roads that have a few good straight shots, and found that the wobble was not present. I would also note that I've observed the same vibration when driving my 04 Ford Explorer.

What I conclude is that there must be something related to the recent paving of the stretch of interstate, probably attributable to the equipment used to lay down the asphalt, that causes this phenomenon. I won't suggest that this applies to all of you with this complaint - bent rims, missing weights or suspension issues may be the root cause of your issues and you shouldn't rule it out. But do try to drive on different roads in different areas to rule out road characteristics.

Hope this helps.

After my last three cars (5 and 6) series have had that same issue. the common denominator seems to be the ZF8 gearbox.
Has anyone had this issue with a manual gearbox ??? Forgive my ignorance, but I assume the M6 has the ZF8 also.
I tried all variations of wheels and tyres. Vibration still there at around 110 -140 KPH on smooth asphalt. The problem arises in the 5 series F11 model. But NOT the manual version. Also, the vibration seems to be coming through the floorpan/seat area and shaft etc appear ok. I'm getting really fed up.

Was going to ask if you have lane change warning which vibrates at the steering wheel when you drive slightly off lane ... if one never knew of this feature and drove a newly purchased or used bmw with this feature - the assumption of an issue due to vibration when driving can be a common misconception.

Nppe. The F1x M5 and M6 are DCT or 6MT only.
