Radar Hardwire

Hello,
I recently got my 2014 M6 GC hardwired with a V1 and Laser jammers. Unfortunately they keep turning off while driving unless I coast or brake. I've taken it back to the shop a couple times but they said they were not sure what seems to be the problem. It seems some people have had similar issues but am not finding clear directions that I can maybe go back to my installer with. I am not 100% sure how it was hardwired to begin with as I had it all done at a local shop. Thanks in advance!

I don't think you need us to tell you that your installer fucked it up big time. My Escort is hard wired and has worked flawlessly for the last 2 years. No, I have no idea which wire they tapped to power it.

BMW's are electronically complex vehicles. Be careful who you allow to start cutting into wires. Good luck getting this straightened out.

where is the power tied into? I have my V1 tied at the mirror and have no problem. how much power does your Laser jammer draw?

I'm not too sure. It was on a Golf R prior to it and everything worked fine. Same place that removed it reinstalled on the M6. Not to familiar with all this electronic stuff :

most systems are well within the fuse limit of the mirror electrical supply. The installer must have made an error somewhere. Can you ask him where he tapped the power for the jammer and the radar?

Also, I've read that if you tie into the overhead lights and use eco mode, the radar will turn off when you stop at a light. Something I read.

Buy the Savvy. It plugs into the OBD2 port and is super easy to use.
