Is this Possible

Hey Folks,

A few months ago, I was going to purchase 2017 GC M6.
However, it got sold.
Now the M6 is back for sale.
when I ask the dealership what happened.
They told me. the buyer never picked it up, due to Covid-19

Is this possible?
can someone purchase a $70k CAD car and never pick it up.

Miles are still the same and carfax is not showing any new owner.

Does this sound sketchy ? could their be anything wrong with this car?

Should be possible? The potential owner likely paid a deposit to reserve the car and probably delayed the purchase...until it was cancelled (and likely forfeited the deposit).

Might have lost their job and needed to pull out?

yes it is possible , my guy "bought" a gt350 shelby out of state , paid for shipping to the dealer thinking that the car was going to ship on a trailer or something, they drove the car to florida about 500 miles, a week later he found some dents on one of the quarter panels and the dealer didnt want to pay to fix it , guess what since he didnt sign the paperwork he return the car i myself put about some extra 100 miles to that car

Either way, go to your trusted dealer to do a Pre Purchase Inspection.

Well worth it even if it's a few hundred bucks out of pocket on a $65+ car.

Ask me how I learned my lesson.
