I assumed he was taking about the 2002 Hommage based on his description of the design.

The simple and square theme all throughout (even new headlights, or same headlights but inlaid in square housings with perhaps some sort of adjacent vent), and incidentally the horizontal grille slats, may be a sort of nod to the raw simplicity of the 2002 Turbo

Whilst the M Sport / M Performance plays with diagonals and triangles.

This is not fake, it's a BMW OEM part.

The Chinese aftermarket companies are not going invest into designing front parking sensors, brake cooling and a recess for a hypothetical radar sensor, into a random bumper, if they're just doodling something from scratch.

This is 1,000,000% real, I'm just not sure how it works with M240i headlights but I guess I'll eventually find out

It’s a very broad styling interpretation of the 2002 Hommage.

For those arguing the headlights won't fit. I don't think the perspective we have here can confirm or deny that headlight shape. The view is from the underside of the bumper so we can't see the connection to where headlight surface would be.

I think this is it. Shocking as it was to see those first G8x leaks.

So the grill separation seems to almost guarantee the hood will resemble the g80/82 raised nostril look. It would make sense since the base 2er already has a powerdome.

That would be a huge disappointment if the G87 doesn’t also get a powerdome.I’m not a fan of the hood design on the G80 and G82.The G87 spy pics definitely show a powerdome.Hopefully it’s not fake body cladding.

Was initially hesitant, but the M2 might be able to pull it off. Seeing they'll probably have a new headlight unit (probably laser lights at that), hopefully they'll do a new design on the tail lights too.

This could honestly be yet another front bumper option for the F30. There's already an aftermarket M2 bumper for the current F30.

I thought it looked to strangely similar to this corrective M3/4 renders to be real. Although maybe BMW just leveraged free design and fixed the M2 as much as they could. Ugly as sin, and not in any way nee or interesting design. Everyone hated Bangle (me too) but he was bleeding edge. This is bleeding shit.
