I just emailed them about this. I also asked, that since they’re color sanding and buffing the repainted hood, etc., if they could color sand and buff the whole thing. Haven’t heard back yet. I guess it would be a question of $$$.

Why would you have them sand factory paint? Buff/polish, yes, but why sand? You lose a lot of clear coat if your goal is to remove the factory orange peel.

I spoke to them yesterday and they agreed to spray the license plate Bracket ‘if they could’ after they checked to see what it was made of. The plate frame on my 2001 CLK 430 (A stunning find in Magma Red with only 26,000 miles - bought from Ken Linginfelter) came from the factory with a color matched plate bracket and it looks amazing. Thanks for bringing that to my attention!

I have no trouble painting them. I you can paint a plastic bumper, you can paint that. I had a 2008 CLK - had to paint that one too.
