Part Finder Help
Would someone be willing to help me locate a part (clip) for my M6? I've tried RealOEM, but I'm having a hard time finding it. Unfortunately, it is not part# 17127846392 or 17111712868.
Please see the diagram part location below. Any help would be much appreciated. |

That hose guide clip is a tough one. I couldn’t find it anywhere on real OEM. Saw some similar ones on FCP euro bmw, but without know the actual reference part number, I wouldn’t want to make a recommendation. At you local BMW Service hub if you know a quality guy behind the counter, ask if he’ll come out and take a look at the part you had pictured (or if not there on your car show him your pic) and see if he could find it in a bin for you.

I’ve look just about everywhere too. I order a few clips (the two part numbers mentioned above) thinking they might be it but I was wrong. Thankfully, there were not expensive.

I had a similar issue on a totally different small part of about equal cost and the parts guy at my dealer volunteered to call BMW HQ in NJ while I stood there and they pulled up the original drawings and had a 10-minute discussion to figure it out. I thought that was pretty good service.

What is the hose that the clip is holding? Where does it come from or go to? Does that hose (see pic below with green arrows pointing to it) have the full 11 digit or shortened 7 digit BMW part nbr on it anywhere? If it does, it may help find the clip.
If that clip is holding a hose that is not associated with the power steering reservoir...then both may be in another diagram even though it is mounted in the reservoir. For example (not saying this is it)... BMW part # 34306766380 (#19 in the diagram below) is a "holder" that is used to support sections of the brake pipe lines. And BMW part # 11667553769 (#6 in the 2nd diagram below) supports the fuel tank breather valve line. Since #6 in the diagram below looks a lot like what you have circled in your pic...that piece is called a "holder". You can take that tidbit and use it as the search word on the realoem.com website...type "holder" into the part nbr/name search box and see all the diagrams that have a holder in it. Narrow down to areas that would be in the engine bay and that would be supporting the hose/pipe/line you have pictured...perhaps you can find it that way.

if you type in "pipe clip" in realoem in your model, it will show the clips and their diameter. That might be of help as well

I found a couple that look similar using the above key words. Thanks everyone for the help!
