Mirror covers for F06

Hey guys, one of my mirror covers has a little paint discoloration and I thought it would be a great time to get some gloss black mirror covers. I wanted to see if anyone has had success finding them.

All of the ones I have seen have the cut out for the integrated turn signal, which my 2015 F06 M-Sport does not have

Here is a pic so you can see the mirror.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I usually find searching for a part using its BMW 11 digit part number weeds out the wrong part. If you go to one of the online part database sites like realoem.com or bimmercat.com …you can use your VIN or select accordingly…then work your way to the diagram for that part to get the correct part number for your car.

If you can’t find anything for the pre facelift…you may have to remove the originals and have them repainted.

You would need #2 in the diagram and link to the part number database:

Thank you, I think the option of repainting or wrapping is starting to look the most cost efficient. Everywhere I look they are over $150 for replacement ones and they wouldn't come gloss black. So I think im going the paint/wrap method.

Appreciate the help on the part number though, that helped my search

…good luck with either the repaint or the wrap.

My 2014 I just bought has “carbon fiber” (no idea if they’re legit) covers, so they must be out there somewhere!

Dude gorgeous car, I saw the immitation carbon fibers on ebay and was able to find the gloss black, it's just that for some reason it falls under the pre-lci mirrors. But with the help of the part number it matched. I will update once I receive them in a couple of weeks.

On a different note, where did you find the blacked out fender emblems. I just ordered the gloss black kidneys and rear 650i emblem, if I can get the fender 'vents' blacked out, that would be awesome!

Any chance you know or remember where you ordered them from?

Also, are you running spacers? Your rear wheel looks to have a much better fitment than mine with the same wheels. If so, which spacers (brand, mm) ?

Thank you! Looks even better now that I got the wheels fixed up and powder coated I think! Also much better with the orange reflectors deleted.

Regarding the vents, I just popped them out, took the turn signal element off (a little finicky with about 8-10 little clips on the back to pry up but only takes a minute) then painted them with SEM gloss black trim paint and it looks OEM. Just today I had the door handle chrome wrapped black as well (no pics yet.)

Spacers are 12mm front and 15mm rear. I’d probably go 15mm on front if I did it again. Can’t remember the brand but I think I just googled BMW F06 spacers. They were $200 total I believe.

Looks sick man, when you popped off the fender vents/signals did you take the fender off or is it similar to the F10s where its just a bitch to get them out without breaking the tabs.

Also, are those wheels powder coated a gunmetal? the stock 373Ms are usually much brighter aluminum color.

My goal is over the winter (Live in MA with real snow), while I will be getting some winters on it, I will be powder coating the stocks in gloss black. When I had my F10 550, I actually bought these wheels and threw them on in gloss black and loved the look

No need to remove the fender! Just pry out the plastic/chrome turn signal assembly, unplug it, and then the chrome can be separated from the plastic/turn signal and be easily painted without having to mask anything. The clips are just a little bit of a pain to all release at the same time but just work from one end and it’ll come off eventually.

And yes the wheels are powder coated now. Had it done last week. Here is the before and after. They were the stock bright silver before and very curbed up.

So I ended up actually finding a gloss black option on eBay to see if they will fit. Just got them and it's a perfect fit for $30

I'll post some pics later but actually looks decent for the price
