Intake Quetion

I'm sure this has been brought up but didn't find much with search. Anyone using the x5 intake so the intake can face forward? If so it looks like we would loose one vacuum line. Does that cause an issue?

Found this on a F10 550 site. Hoping for some performance gain. I will be doing an aftermarket tune soon. That's when I believe it will be the most beneficial.

Update. My car ran way too rich with maf housing and new air filters. I may try cutting the new maf housings like the link or I may wait unit i get a jb4. A bit frustrated but still hopeful.
