640d 2017 TPM RDC Failure

Hi, Just purchased a 640d and having an issue with the tyre sensors. On startup I get a TPM (rdc) failure.

Have checked tyre pressure and all okay, took it to a Tyre specialist who checked all the tyres and used a device which showed all of the sensors are broadcasting a signal correctly.

When's try and do a reset it comes back with the same error message. I have ID5 NBTEvo_k firmware from factory.

Any help would be appreciated

Hi,

I had this issue 2 weeks ago and turned out to be the RDC module which failed.

Dealer changed it and all working fine now.

I found one picture quickly - at least on my F12 it is fixed to the bottom of the car right behind the rear differential. It looks to be about the same shape and proportions as an old-fashioned 5-stick pack of gum, but maybe half again as large.
