*ABS thing solved. It’s “braking assistance”, a great technology built into the car. I’m new to BMW and learning. While there may be other ways to turn this on/off, putting it into sport mode shuts it off and I can’t replicate the feeling. Back into comfort and it returns. More of a sound than a feeling. When you read what the car is doing it’s a really great thing to have, imo.*
New owner. Love the car. One of the better sports cars I've ever driven given the luxury and performance (and I own a 911). Couple questions. 1) Is it normal for abs to come on under "medium" braking in dry conditions? Not sure if it's normal or if I damaged something hitting retread in the road. I don't think that's the case though. Plus, this isn't a major concern, just curious if abs is common in summer? 2) Are there any preemptive maintenance or parts I should replace with 60k miles? Like should I replace water pump or wait for an issue? How about upgrading oil cooler housing or thermostat or anything? I'm new to this engine and trying to get educated. I can do a lot of my own work but not a lot of time in the day and prefer to hire out if I'm not getting fleeced by dealership price-lunacy. But I do have garage with all tools needed to work on cars. Last edited by Ryanweather; 07-05-2025 at 05:53 AM.. Reason: Solved |
