What are the best tires for M6 Gran Coupe?
I still got a set of P zeros on the M6 currently. I needs to be replaced soon, want to know what are the best tires for it. I am currently looking at Michelin Pilot Sport 4Ss

Those are the best unless you move to soft compound Sport Cup 2's or drag radials. You can bump it up in the back to 305/30/20 for a little extra traction with no disadvantage

Don’t even consider anything else but MP4S for road use. And 305s in rear is a good idea. If you search this forum you will find plenty of posts on the topic - all delivering the same message. Enjoy!

It really depends on your goals and budget. Do you want straight line traction? Do you want tires for turns? Do you drive in the rain? If your car is at stock power levels the Sport Cup 2's would be the best tire under a drag radial.
I've been through most, if not all of the "good" tires at this size range and these have performed the best "all-around." Amazing in turns, average straight line hook, and safe in rain. Tire life sucks and they were right over $500 a piece when I bought them. If you are concerned about straight line traction you're better of going straight to a drag radial. I'm only at stg1 power levels and I'll spin to the top of 2nd with the Cup2's. I couldn't tell you how many times I've lost little "pulls" on the road due to wheelspin, absolutely irritating. I do however get stuck in the rain here and there so I had to find the best tire for my needs. There is a tire out called the "Super Cup 2 ZP" I've driven a Z06 with them and it's definitely a better tire but very sketchy in the rain. Only issue is I can only find it in the 335/25/20 size. So you'll need different rims. |

frankly for the price...I'm perfectly content with the original PSS tires.
