Headlight condensation - pre-purchase question/ warranty replacement?

Hi all,

I paid a deposit for a 640d gc today at Cotswold BMW, 64reg, but after a test drive I realized both headlight are heavily clouded due to condensation. I pointed this to the sales guy but I was told "it's normal" and they are allowed to "steam up"... I am not a specialist but to me it's a load of ****.
I am due to collect the car on friday but I am afraid that when I get there, the headlights wont be fixed and i will have the same issue the moment I get some rain or go to a car wash.

What is your experience with such issue? Should I demand the dealer to replace the headlights before the sale or wait and replace them under warranty?
I have to say, things like this and an advice of "it's normal" puts me right off the purchase.

No, it's certainly not normal. You may want to rethink your dealership choice.

check vehicle history. May well have had front end damage and the lights were not replaced. Moister in the lights is NOT normal. CAUTION
