Fair price and car seat question.
Hi Folks,
I am looking to get back into a 6 series. It was my first exotic and loved it. I am looking at a 2012, with about 43K in miles, 650 X drive. Exterior is in pretty good shape. It has the M sport package. What would say is a fair price? Also, any suggestions for a front facing car seat for my 2.5 yr old? Thanks in advance. |

The V8 engine in the 2012 was problematic and I'd steer clear of it. The problems were solved in the 2013 model year. Suggest you do some research.

I have a front facing for my 3 year old and any car seat will fit.
Look at Britax for some good ones on Amazon |

Hey Duff I know you have a GC but it looks like the OP is looking at a coupe considering its a 2012. To the OP, the back seat in the coupe is waaayyy smaller. I am 5'9" and literally could not sit in the back seat. I would suggest a gran coupe considering you have a 2.5 year old. I have a rear facing and a front facing in my GC right now. Plus, the rear doors will give you easier access to your little one.

I have a recommendation for a front facing:
I use the Diono Radian RXT. It's billed as a slim profile seat. We have 2 kids, so we have 2 seats side by side and having the 3rd seat free for an audlt in the rear of a X5 is critical. Now if you only have 1 kid and likely will only have 1 more person in the back, and using the 6er, then you may not value slim profile.

Thanks, everyone. I decided to pass on the 2012 650 thanks to Walt White's post. Decided to go with an M6 Coupe as Flying Ace knows.
BMWShay - Thanks. I just didn't want four doors because I don't want my 6 series to be a the go to daddy car. But, when it's just the two of us, I'd like to be able to take him for rides. Flying Ace: I'll check out the Diono. Thanks all! |

I had the same struggle. I am really a coupe guy but I figured I'd be practical and get the 4 door. BTW, I use a Graco front facing car seat. I forget the exact model (either Nautilus 65 or Contender 65) as they are some of the slimmest on the mark.et
