What do you mean? Do you mean 4 inch tips on the OEM stock/competition system?

Then yeah I wouldn't recommend running 4 inch tips. The distance between the two exhaust outlets would be too close. Running 4 inch tips would make the spacing look off.

Well, that sucks, I just ordered a set of 4" tips for my non-comp M6 mufflers with a carbon fiber diffuser.

Maybe try taking it to an exhaust shop. They might be able to fab it so that it looks better. I have 4 inch tips on my eisenmann race and it looks great haha

I've got these coming, they're 2-1/2 in and 4" out. I'm going to cut them off at the back of the tip right where they attach to the Y. The tips will be set a little back of the upper edge of the diffuser so they don't stick out, with the outer ones back just a hair bit more.
And yes, I'm going to have the muffler guy do this as it's beyond my ability of a screwdriver and crescent wrench.

is your car an Msport? Msport cars have dual outlets from the mufflers, so these wont work unless you have a base model, and the base model has a single muffler outlet. I have no idea what a base model muffler looks like.

Exactly, I'm cutting the tips off at the Y and installing the tips onto the M6 mufflers outlets. At least that's my plan.

oh. Carry on then. I hope everything works out to your satisfaction, but I think you are going to have issues getting the appropriate depth on the tips. Unless you are going to cut and grind off the trapezoidal surround of the dual outlets, you will have to cut the existing outlets off damn near flush with the back end of the muffler. Good idea having someone else do it. They may need to splice in a piece to get an acceptable reveal.

I'm swapping out my 650 mufflers for M6 mufflers.
