Headrest adjuster broken

The electrical headrest adjuster on my F13M6GC driver seat has broken. It just clicks once then nothing. Anyone else had this fault? or anyone know how to open the seat for a look? Thanks.

Instructions on how to "open the seat for a look" can be found on the TIS website. Click the following link, type in the last 7 digits of your VIN, then type some keywords or phrases into the search box. Try something like headrest drive...or remove seat backrest...and you should get multiple results (links)....you'll need to scroll down through them or use the "page search" feature of the device you're using.

If you don't find what you need, then try other search phrases or keywords....you may need to pare back to something simple like "SEAT"...and see what comes up. Sometimes the "word" you need to use to search with is wrong...but if you pare back to the subject at hand...you may find a better word or run across what the site uses to describe it...then you can go back and try playing around with that word.

Good luck...here's a direct link to the TIS site: https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/

Just an update in case anyone else experiences this; after a certain raised seat height, the headrest adjustment is automatically limited.

Hmmm, interesting observation. I wonder if limiting the height of the headrest is to prevent it from impeding the protection of the HPS (head protection system...aka the head airbags)?
