Finally got the chance to post my F13 M6

I purchased a 2015 Alpine white M6 competition package convertible. It took a few weeks for it to actually settle in lol with few sprint drives for it to really hit me. This car is absolutely amazing!! The luxury coupled with the power is exhilarating.

Your first mod: get rid of that grill and get the black grill.

something is odd about that grill. This is my OE grill on my M6. Notice the slats are also chrome:

I have since changed my grill to the gloss black double slats. But I'm not so sure it looks better now. I almost prefer the chrome. I think the chrome looks good on certain color cars like SSII and maybe AW here.

No, keep that grill - the black fins look sporty and the chrome surround ties in the chrome on the side grills and door handles.

I agree, go black... It's very easy and cheap to vinyl wrap the chrome surrounds rather than just getting new grills

GC has chrome vertical slats. The F12 and F13 have chrome around the outside and black slats. Quite why they made that distinction I have no idea.

good to know! I wasn't aware of the difference.

BMW has does it before. On the E70 X5 LCI, the 35d and 50i got titanium slats vs chrome.

The subtle differences are huge to the discerning eye IMO.

I'm sort of liking the chrome slats on the GC now...conflicted as I spent a lot of money and time installing the gloss black ones.

Maybe because of the front camera you think? not sure. Its funny too because i dont think i've seen chrome slats until yours

I do have someone who can wrap the chrome accents on the car. I like how it looks with black instead it makes it look more sportier. Thanks for the suggestions.

The outer trim rings are removable, so if you can pick up a set that has the black rings or even a set that has broken tabs, you can pull the rings off and swap them out as the tabs to hold it onto the bumper cover are on the grill portion, not the rings. It's just a pain in the arse to get your hand between the cover and the scoops behind the grills to release the tabs from the cover - do not yank them out!

I have a AW GC and I swapped out the grills for all black, I also wrapped the side marker section that was chrome in gloss black, as well as the chrome strip in the door handles. Looks pretty awesome IMO and was fairly easy to do.

On a black car I quite like a few bits of chrome. My C63 was black and the bits of chrome on it were quite nice I thought. I'm too lazy to upload some pics but mine was identical to this and it really worked imho. https://www.pistonheads.com/regulars...-spotted/32524

If I had a Black Sapphire Metallic, a Tanzanite Blue or Azurite Black F06 I'd definitely keep the chrome grill. Otherwise I'm not so sure.
