I own a 600LT for over a year now, I have yet to have any issues and drive it nearly 4-5 times a week. Once the 720s reaches under 200k I will definitely add one to my fleet.

At the time of purchasing my 600 they were around the same price which they still are I think. I was sold on the 720s until I drove them both on the track and drove a friends 600LT back to our hotel. It was exactly what I was looking for, a supercar that looks aggressive, drives well around the city, can take a track beating and head home.

I’ve been eyeing the 650s market myself....the 720’s are stunning, just too steep for me.

Ugh... I'm such a peasant. Considering I'd I want to put up with a 6 year old 12C

I wouldn't do it. 12C was the beginning of Mclaren's road back, hence quite a lot that was left to be desired from a driving and visual experience. Saw one a few years back at a Cars & Coffee, pretty underwhelming from an aesthetics POV when parked next to the newer faced Mclarens

Ill give y'all a little Mclaren Buying trick. Look at the last 4 digits of the VIN. Anything over 1000 is usually when they figured out all their little bugs and BS. My 600LT has been extremely reliable, just recently my passenger door touch pad took a crap but I am told its cover under warranty.

My neighbor has a 12C with 62k miles no issues as well. Just comb through and be picky is all I can say, do some research and ask owners.

The 650s & 675LT is one of my favorite looking Mac's, seriously a beautiful car all around.

Yes they’re still around the same price which is odd to me, I am looking for a car I can drive anywhere and be somewhat comfortable, I’m 6’4 so the 720S is a little easier to get in and out of. From my understanding the 720S has more of the little comforts and the 600LT is more of drivers car and gives you a lot of the racing visceral feel. The 720 can be had for under 200k, I see similar mileage 600LT’s for more than that. How was your track experience with both?

The Mclaren 650s is quite the hell of a car for its price. I just don’t like the looks of the rear end at all. I’m actually surprised I don’t see a lot more of them on the road. A low mileage 650S is ~160k I’ve seen a 720 for ~180. And it was CPO.

675LT’s really are a special car. A buddy who had a 650s now has a 675LT and it’s silly impressive on the twisties.

I have had a lot of seat time in both cars on and off the track. I love how fast the 720s is in the a straight line but for me it feels too electronically engaged when trying to drive spirited or on the track. The car has a ton of electronics to keep the car in check. The car was also new and there weren't too many people driving them as they are today. Now that I know exactly what a 720s needs to run without issues I am just going to patiently wait for them to depreciate a bit more.

The reason why I chose the 600LT is because it had exactly what I was looking for a streetcar that I could take to the track in the morning and take to dinner at night. Plus seeing the flames and pops in your rear view was a plus. Also with several 570s & 570GT's being tracked and driven the motor and electronics were some what proven to be reliable.
