Recommendations for pressure washer/foam cannons?

Hi, looking to start washing my car at home and need some recommendations. Don't need anything super fancy, just want something relatively compact that will get the job done. Also any recs on soaps or other cleaning products are welcome.

Amazon’s own Micro Fiber Car Wash Mitt

A couple of big terry cloth towels for drying

Rags and Company Micrfiber towels for removing wax or finishing with Meguiar’s Ultimate Quick Detailer Spray.

No power washer at all. Just use a hose.

pressure washer is a bad idea. I pressure washed my truck and it took the paint right off the front license plate.

Griots Garage is a candy store for guys like us. It is not the cheapest, but you won't find junk there either. Foam cannons work ok, but are bit of a gimmick. Get a bucket and use 10 times the water you think you should.

One trick is to use a leaf blower to dry your car. Sounds silly until you try it and you'll never go back.

Hi I have been using SunJoe SPX 3000 power washer. make sure you use the weakest tip and not too close to paint so not to damage the paint. I use SudMagic foam canon from amazon and the combination is great. You should be to get both for around $160

Garden hose, nozzle and a bucket

I use the Torq foam blaster attached to a garden hose, and love it. Check out Chemical Guys website. Lots of excellent products. I have yet to be disappointed with anything I have purchased from them.

Grab an electric light duty power washer like a Sun Joe mentioned above. 1500-2000 psi / 1.5-2 gpm is enough to produce good foam with an amazon foam cannon and some chemical guys honey dew snow foam & you will have a great car wash setup. I’m using some super budget 1500psi 1.2 gpm pressure washer and I still get great foam.

There’s no part of your car on which you should use a pressure washer, regardless of the nozzle. Even wheels are more effectively cleaned using a microfiber mitt or sponge and soapy water. I love my Yamaha gas powered pressure washer and use it on everything — except my car.

BTW, the leaf blower to dry it idea is brilliant. I have a Ryobi battery powered one and it is amazing for that purpose!
