Ah okay but if a car does overshoot the stop then I guess it's fine for pit crew to pull the car back

No. Mansell was in the pit lane. Reversing the pit lane has been illegal since Christ was a corporal.

Lewis was on the circuit and under the direction of his team giving him real time updates. Masi listened in and deemed it ok. Everything isn't a conspiracy to help Hamilton.

Safety car rules and restarts call for the unlapping of lapped cars. Again, it isn't a conspiracy...it's in the rules and has been forever.

So,Wolff is now saying that Russell should have ''been more mindful of a car from his parent company'' and that ''he has lots to learn''.
Again it backs up my point that he wants to control his many PU shod cars with his own form of encumberment.
He can't be judge and jury in a situation where if a gap is there then expect someone even with a Merc PU not to go for it, someone should tell HIM that in lesser formulas, like the clio cup? he mentioned the situation would be same.
Russell has said that the overtake was definitely on so the situation that happened is squarely on BOT's shoulders.

OK. as I said that HAM was lapped during his crash by the rest of the field .

1• HAM went off in the gravel and crashed in the wall.
2• Red Flag showed up by the crash of BOT vs RUS .
3• HAM's car was repaired during the Red Flag.
4• HAM got his postion back (P9) and took part of the re-start of the race.
5• HAM pulled through the field to P2 and stranded 22 sec. behind MAX .
6• No one saw that HAM un-lapped himself .
7• That's actually why HAM ran one (1) lap short 62/63 laps .

•HAM was able to recover his Mercedes from the gravel by engaging reverse but by the time he had escaped he was already a lap down and had slipped to ninth.

Isnt this why the lapped cars do a lap under safety car and then return to pit lane before the restart? Are you saying Ham wasnt on that un-lapping lap?

I dont really recall seeing much of those cars going out so I cant say one way or another, I just assumed he was on it. His car was fixed by that time so I cant imagine why he would have stayed in the pits.
